Christmas mini sessions: What to expect and how do I book?

It’s almost that time of year again… our sell out Christmas mini sessions are back by popular demand for the third year running. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome you all back to our studio this year for some festive fun. While we are busy prepping behind the scenes for the 2022 sessions, we thought we’d look back on our 2021 sessions. Read on to find out all about our Christmas minis and how you can be first on the list to book for 2022! What happens before the session? Our Christmas mini sessions were so popular last year, they sold out in less than 24 hours! We were so thrilled at the response and we even had to add an extra day to fit everybody in! When you book your session we have two themes available to book. “Winter Wonderland” and “Magical Moments”. Each theme is £25 to book and has three backgrounds included. Or you can BOOK BOTH THEMES and you’ll get one HALF PRICE! That’s all 6 sets for just £37.50! Once booked in we give our clients a call to discuss the outfits for the session. As these are mini sessions we ask our customers to arrive ready in their chosen outfit. We recommend a christmas day outfit, christmas jumper or christmas pyjamas. Then we also ask you to bring a winter coat, hat, scarf, gloves etc. as these work best for the Winter Wonderland theme. What happens on the day of my Christmas mini session? On the day of your session you will arrive at the studio and be greeted by a cosy christmas setting. Which is always interesting for our neighbours as our Christmas mini sessions take place in October! We like to go all out and decorate our studio reception to look like a Christmas wonderland. It even smells like Christmas! Think cinnamon and apple pie and pine tree scents. Plus a sea of festive red and gold baubles, Christmas trees, bunting, tinsel, the works! Plus there’ll be lots of festive treats like sweets and candy canes for you and your little ones to enjoy. Your christmas mini session will only last for around 30 minutes total. Fifteen to twenty minutes for shooting and around ten minutes for ordering. You will be given a leaflet with our Christmas mini packages and the prices which you will have already had via email when booking. We ask that you already have an idea of the package you want to purchase before you come in and are ready to place your order straight after the session. Our Christmas mini session packages are special offer prices only available on the day so this is your only opportunity to take advantage of these deals! As a lot of our Christmas mini images include digital backdrops which require a lot of editing you will not view your own images on the day. Instead you get to see fully edited completed images of last year’s customers so you know what to expect for your own images. We also have lots of extras that you can get on the day including personalised christmas cards, tree ornaments and print packs. These are great for Christmas gift ideas for family and friends, and this year we have even more great gift ideas available including personalised mugs, lego bricks, keyrings and jigsaw puzzles! When will I get my Christmas Images? After your Christmas mini session we have lots of editing work to do on your digital images to get them ready. We also have to order all of your extra gift orders like tree ornaments, cards etc. All of this editing and ordering means that it can take around 4-6 weeks to get everything ready. This is why we do our Christmas mini sessions in October. It allows us enough time to have everything ready and back to you in time for Christmas! How do I book a Christmas mini session? Because our Christmas mini sessions are so popular and sell out every year, we have an early bird mailing list. We send everyone on the early bird mailing list a link to book their slot 24 hours before we release them to the general public. We got over 100 sign ups last year and once released, the slots sold out in less than 24 hours!
