Ke-ara’s boudoir photoshoot

Xposure

@Binge.to.bopo

We invited Ke-ara to our studio back in November 2021 for her boudoir photoshoot. We found her account @binge.to.bopo on Instagram and just loved what she stood for. Her Instagram account is all about binge eating recovery and body positivity and acceptance, which we absolutely love! Ke-ara is known on social media for her bubbly personality so we thought she would be perfect to try out one of our amazing Xposure Studio boudoir photoshoots. After messaging through Instagram, we sorted a date and she sent over some pictures of different lingerie and outfits that she wanted to bring with her. They were all stunning and of course, seeing as it was nearly Christmas tine, we had to include some sexy Santa pics.Boudoir photoshoot wearing Scantilly by Curvy Kate

The day of the photoshoot

The day of her shoot came around so fast and we all couldn’t wait to meet her. She was greeted with a glass of bubbly and after a chat with me (makeup artist and hair stylist) we got started with her makeover. We decided to go for something quite natural but still glam for the photoshoot. I wanted to create a fresh, glowing skin look with a bright berry red lip and of course, some glitter on her eyes! We decided to give Ke-ara’s hair a loose wave for a bit of movement an bounce. Ke-ara was so happy with her hair and makeup, we couldn’t wait to get started with the shoot!

Although Ke-ara has done many photoshoots before, she was slightly nervous which is understandable as she was visiting a new photo studio with new people. We quickly reassured her that we are an all female team and she had nothing to worry about. After a couple of glasses of bubbly she was ready to get her kit off!

Our photographer’s Laurel and Fiona had a chat with the glamorous Kea-ra to see what order to do her outfits in. They decided to start with a stunning black floral set from Elomi lingerie with black stilettos. Next, we went on to a beautiful, classy light blue, lace body suit from Tutti Rouge. Again, stunning. Finally, we got to have abit of fun… Ke-ara had brought in a gorgeous bright red body suit from Scantilly by Curvy Kate. I changed up her lipstick so it was a little darker to match it, we gave her hair a quick spray of hairspray and then out came the Santa hat and gloves… I went into the studio throughout to take behind the scenes videos for our Instagram and Facebook stories, we all had such a laugh.

That ‘boudoir’ feeling!

After the photoshoot, we asked Ke-ara how she felt, she told us she felt empowered and confident, which is what we aim for after a boudoir photoshoot! Ke-ara absolutely loved her final images (as did we). She posted some on her social media accounts.

You’d be surprised how much confidence a boudoir photoshoot can give you! We always see our customers come in and feel nervous but after their first outfit, they just go for it!! If you are thinking about doing a boudoir photoshoot, my advice would be to just book it! Go for it! What have you got to lose?!
